Bennett Lane Winery Blogger and Media Event

Bennett Lane Winery is a beautiful Calistoga gem where we held a fabulous 2021 Blogger and Media Event. Our guests enjoyed the beautiful California weather during this event and explored the vineyard’s stunning wine offerings followed by a lunch in the Bennett Lane Barrel Room. Thank you to Winemaker Rob Hunter and General Manager Stefanie Longton for hosting such a fabulous event for guests to enjoy. Bennett Lane Winery is located at the North end of Napa Valley where beautiful views of the Mayacamas Mountains can be enjoyed as you sip on stunning Bennett Lane blends. Surrounded by the vast lands of Cabernet Sauvignon vines, this winery is truly a serene and gorgeous area in Wine Country.

Where the Bennett Lane winemaking process begins…

As we stood outside to enjoy the stunning Calistoga views and fabulous company, guests sipped on the divine 2014 Maximus Red Feasting wine. This impressive red blend displays big flavors of dried cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and caramel. Such a great wine to kick off the event!

Media and Blogger guests also enjoyed the 2018 Bennett Lane Reserve Brut which was a bubbly treat! While they are known for their Cab, the sparkling and white wines are just as impressive.

Winemaker Rob Hunter and General Manager Stefanie Longton from the Bennett Lane Winery team were the best hosts. It was fun to learn facts about this Calistoga gem. Did you know Bennett Lane was the first Winery to ever put Calistoga AVA on a label?

Stefanie is a Bennett Lane Winery veteran. She helped open the tasting room in 2003. Our guests enjoyed laughing and learning all about Bennett Lane Winery from her.

After sipping on both a Red Blend and Brut, it was time for something super interesting. Have you ever tasted a wine that is in the harvesting process? Our guests headed over to the crush pad and tasted the 2021 Bennett Lane Chardonnay out of their barrel tank. At the moment, the 2021 Chardonnay tasted like freshly squeezed pineapple juice. While it was delicious, we will definitely wait until the juice turns into a fabulous Chardonnay. Can’t wait!

At Bennett Lane, they are committed to minimal intervention and gentle handling, from the harvest to bottling. The goal is to create fabulous and elegant wines, and that is exactly what Bennett Lane does. Bennett Lane has garnered an incredible total of 60 90+ Point wines from Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. How impressive!

After enjoying the fabulous outdoor vineyard views and tasting a selection of wine, it was time for a fabulous lunch and wine tasting led by Winemaker.

How cute is this decor? Farmgirl Flowers provided us with a beautiful table setting and guests received an adorable Bennett Lane Winery bag from Apolis.

Here are our guests enjoying three 2018 Cabernets over lunch. Winemaker Rob walked us through the tasting and it was incredibly informative and delicious.

Winemaker Rob was the perfect teacher for our lunch. He walked us through each wine and was very educational. Rob states that his goal is to create the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. Nothing less. It is exciting to experience a tasting with someone who is so passionate.

The three Cabernets we enjoyed included the 2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018 Lynch Family Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon.

This was such a fabulous event and we can’t thank the Bennett Lane Winery team for hosting this with us. It was a perfect afternoon in Calistoga enjoying lovely wines, great company and a lunch & wine. Until next time…cheers!
