Social Prompts to Help Inspire Your Business
As social media enthusiasts, we know the importance of staying connected to your followers. To help inspire you during a time when “business as usual” isn’t really an option, we’re sharing some of our favorite social media prompts that can help you continue building your community.
Share what your team is doing to practice social distancing. For wineries, consider showcasing your workers in the vineyards or enjoying the fresh air of your vineyards. For restaurants, showcase your takeout or delivery methods (with staff wearing gloves and masks) reassuring customers they’re following safety procedures.
Update your customers with the best way to purchase or order. Can they get delivery, takeout, shipped products? How? Add a story to your Instagram or a post on social media that directs customers to where they can access your goods and services. Update your social profile links with this information.
Create a flat lay of your desk or workspace and talk about what you are doing while quarantined, keeping in mind to ask how your community is adjusting as well. You can easily incorporate this into an Instagram story by using the question tab for followers to share what they’re doing.
Share an image of a bottle of wine or delicious food, and ask your audience a question about which stockpiled items to pair with it. This keeps them engaged and coming to YOU for fun, upbeat, engaging content.
Share a personal story about why you LOVE your community (a shout out to other "helpers" in your area).
Take a screenshot of team meetings that are done remotely, and share behind the scenes of everyone working from home.
Share user-generated content, which is a great way to add new images to your social and interact with your community. The more followers see their images. on your feed, the more they are apt to post and share your content.
Interview your winemaker/chef and ask them what they are up to in the cellar/kitchen and how your winery/restaurant is continuing to help their customers.
Go LIVE with Facebook or Instagram with a special guest, chef, winemaker, or media/influencer and talk about your food/wine. Share what it tastes like, what makes it unique, what it pairs well with, how it’s made, or answering your follower’s questions are all great ways to use your social platform to engage with your following.
Name places where customers can purchase your meals/wine (such as Caviar Delivery or other locations selling your products).
Share what movie, show or book that goes along with a wine/meal you are enjoying.
Tell a story about how you and your team are making this new reality “normal.”
Link to even more heartwarming stories from your own community. This point makes a great blog post because of SEO and linkbacks to your fellow sources.
Remember to GIVE, GIVE, GIVE value to your customers (vs. just SELL, SELL, SELL). Focus on the value that your products/services provide to people.
Take a poll from your customers or members and answer those questions. If they need a longer explanation, make a blog post that you can shorten into a simple social media post.
Ask your audience what they want to see from you! This tip is great for helping you come up with your marketing strategy in the future as well.
Remember that people want to connect with people, with the community right now to feel less isolated. So, especially right now, keep your customers updated with what you are doing which will help retain connections and show empathy. If you’re looking for help with your social strategy, ask us!
